Speaking from experience, as I have worked with ex-military hardware before, I can tell you that from my stand point, it's not really admiration for the tank's past as a killing machine (I mean, you can't really blame the tank for that anyway). It's mostly an aesthetic and mechanical admiration. I mean, if you think about it, this is a highly complex machine that was designed and built with no help from computers, or robots, or any of the other modern stuff we take for granted today.
