I have been an ASL student and I love signing, so I try to keep it up. I understand what people are signing more or less, but your signing style is so clear and precise. It was so easy to understand and I can "get" the joke the first time without having to rewind the video and try to figure out the meaning of a sloppy sign that I've never seen before. Great story and keep up the good work!

Yeah, come to think of it, I did hear this before in English.. but I love it in ASL *worse*! Also her sign for mirror, does look like tree quite a bit.. but she mouths it so that helps.. this is so funnny!!

i know the joke from a hearing friend but i was still able to understand quite well. at first, i mistook the sign for mirror for tree but then i figured out what was being signed. the story was much more funny in sign than speech!

haha, I heard that joke from a hearing friend. It's soo much better seeing it signed because its more expressive. "Hearing" jokes in sign language is expontially better than hearing it in english due to more motions! Good joke!

You are actually correct. American Sign Language is in fact a separate language with it's own grammatical rules, syntax and structure. It's not only HOT, it's COOL! Take a class! Learn the language!
