This was seen on the bus parade from Oakridge Transit Centre to Vancouver Transit Centre on September 2nd, 2006.
V1109 is a 1976 Flyer E800. Originally a trolley bus, it was later retrofitted with a diesel engine. Its poles are electrically dead, and are used to de-ice the wires on a frosty morning.
A 1982 Flyer D901A is seen behind V1109.
You just have to watch for parades in metro Vancouver. Some of our vintage buses are entries in various parades.
