...................Watch me create my painting Red Nude on Black starting with a blank canvas. I paint from imagination and don't use any models. I start painting directly on an empty canvas, inventing the shapes and lines as I paint. This is a very dramatic and sensual abstract nude painting with a lot of texture and free, expressionist brushstrokes. This nude has a strong presence and almost appears to be moving. I painted her in rich and sumptuous Fauve colors with strong color contrasts of reds, yellows and oranges and with fluid and sensual lines and contrasts of both transparent and shiny black acrylic paint.

  • Hi Martina, what size ink brush are u using please? and what r liquid acrylics? I,ve never heard of them before ,can someone enlighten me please? huge fan Martina love your work.

  • @bellyqueen I don't know the size, it's a big one. Google "GOLDEN Fluid Acrylics" I use those

  • Will you be putting any new paintings up soon? I miss them.

  • I will put up another video when I get the chance to make one - it's not easy for me to paint and film myself at the same time so I don't do it too often :)

  • AMAZING! Absolutely loving it! It blows my mind how easy you make it look and your hand really seems to just glide over the canvas. Just LOVE the colors as well and the ink brush seems to work wonders. I didn't know you can use ink brushes with acrylic...Truly inspiring :)

  • Thank you, I'm happy you like it. It is easy and difficult at the same time - I just surrender to the "muse" and let her move my hand when I paint - that's why it is effortless. But to get to the point of being able to 'let go' is difficult. You can use ink brush with liquid acrylics, but I'm also using an acrylic brush in this video for the acrylic paint.
