Design Narrative - Straight to the Heart

This is my Narrative Project for my Design course at University. Took me one whole weekend to sketch, color, cut and photograph, and then another whole weekend to resize everything and put the pics together.

Twas fun.... but I don't think I'll ever do this again. WAY too time consuming. XDDD and I was having difficulties in the intro with premiere pro. I got so excited though when I made them dance on the table top! Squeeeee!

My roommate took the intro pics. I hate being in pictures. really I do. my hoodies make me look.... well, fat. DX But it freezes in that basement. And it may be dark, but that's cuz the lighting in our apartment REALLY sucks. trust me. That's why I have two lamps on my desk. 8D and I STILL had to tweak the lighting on the PC.

Anyway, so this is a gift to my dear friends, and the girls behind the creation of this remarkable duo, Mel, Pao and Ely. This is alll done with those mini Maries and Thomases you saw me upload on dA!!! They're not supposed to be seen as a couple at this point, really: Tommy's just sad and Marie wants to cheer him up.

I used a red lead to sketch, poster paper, prismacolor pens for linart, prismacolor and copic markers for coloring, white gel pen for highlights scissors and x-acto knife for cutting, and stiky tak to hold them in place.

Yes, considering there's a statue of Marie back there, I am Catholic. If you have any issues with that, keep your comments to yourself. I won't judge you if you don't judge me.

The song is Straight to the Heart by Michael W. Smith. My fave singer!!!! I just HAD to use this song! I just shortened it up because of time issues.
