Livingstone made perhaps his most controversial move in December 1982, when the GLC extended an official invitation to the leaders of the Irish nationalist party Sinn Féin. In the event the leaders, Gerry Adams and Danny Morrison were denied entry into the mainland under the Prevention of Terrorism Act and they met Livingstone in Northern Ireland instead. After meeting him, Livingstone said that Britain's treatment of the Irish over the last 800 years had been worse than Adolf Hitler's treatment of Jews. For his opinions on Ireland, The Sun newspaper called Livingstone "the most odious man in Britain". It also made him a potential target for Ulster loyalists: in 2003 it was revealed in Michael Stone's autobiography that there was an Ulster Defence Association plot to kill Livingstone while on the Tube, though it came to nothing as the UDA agent (revealed in 2006 to be Stone himself) became convinced the security forces were on to him.

  • @godbrother10 (continued2) As I said previously read a history book.

    UKIP are racists.

  • @godbrother10 (continued) In his book Mein Kampf, Hitler wrote 'the suspicion was whispered...that we also were merely another variety of Marxism, perhaps even Marxists suitably disguised, or better still, Socialists...We used to roar with laughter at these silly...efforts to puzzle out our origin, our intentions and our aims.'

As for "nationalised countries" what about the privatization of all the formerly state-owned arsenals, even the huge ones at Suhl, Spandau, and Amberg (13 in all!).

  • @ukipwarrior Nazi leaders were opposed to the Marxist idea of class conflict and opposed the idea that capitalism should be abolished and that workers should control the means of production. For those who consider class conflict and the abolition of capitalism as essential components of socialist progress, these factors alone are sufficient to categorize "National Socialism" as non-socialist. Hitler despised Karl Marx as a Jew and condemned communism and Marxism as Judeo-Bolshevism...

  • @godbrother10 they nationalised companies and heavily imposed their own ideal human being philosophy. I,e, one that did not fox hunt (hitler hated hunting) did not smoke (nazis were heavily against smokers.) And tore down their national flag and imposed the nazi red flag just like the liebour would do

  • @ukipwarrior wow ... read a history book - to call the nazi's socialist [and yes I am aware that that was their name but it was exactley that - in name only] shows a lack of understanding. The Nazis were right-wing racists and UKIP are ...
