  • The point is that people have to start somewhere. Not everyone is as special as you.

  • I like the negative pull up version of it. Thanks doc!

  • i went from not being able to doing any to now being very comfortable doing x amount (i dont feel like rubbing shit in ppls faces...everybody has their strengths.)

anyways im writing to tell you the way i learned was nothing like this - not that this is wrong. try this if this doesnt seem good for you, use assisted pullup machines and if you dont have them at your gym or want to do this at a park, have a friend push u up a little. focus on negatives on your own and soon you'll do one alone

  • usually these are done in massive cycle workouts of 50+ over 10 different workouts, relax body builders you're useless.

  • This is actually harder than a normal pull-up, if the bar i high enough, and you jump doing a squat jump your not only bulidng up your upper body, but your legs, abs and co-ordination - obviously though this means letting go of the bar, because it has to be higher. But hey this is how i started three months ago - now i can do a whole 8 (big change form none)!

  • @Greyghostvol1 ok, im not tryin to wreck anyones ego, dont worry, i give you all respect for wanting to be in better shape and doin something about it, goood luck, and i was just sayin that they are my strong point, they become fun once you can do 20 easy, cause then you can control your body weight easily and it makes life easier,

  • @johndeerebuck As has been mentioned, not everyone can do pull ups as easily as passing gas.

I'm still fairly over weight and while and I can't do barely more then 2. What good would doing 2 little pull ups every other day accomplish? I foresee myself improving a lot more by following these steps and going from there.

  • @Madhofd lol, i take that as a compliment, thanks, hahaha,

  • @johndeerebuck showoff..

  • just do normal pull ups, i do weighted, i wear a belt that has a chain attached and then put 20 lbs and do about 8 of them, cause if i do them without the weight i get bored and just stop cause i can do around 20. so i get more of a burn from the weighted

  • @rhinowalsh Haha, exactly me too.

    Doing filthy fifty tonight.

  • i agree... also doing negatives would be affective as well
