"Lykken er" ("Happiness is"), was the Norwegian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1971, performed in Norwegian by Hanne Krogh. The song is a moderately up-tempo number, with Krogh describing what she sees as examples of happiness - a series of small pleasures such as "an old hat/Which used to belong to your best friend" and "breakfast in bed".
At the close of voting, it had received 65 points, placing 17th in a field of 18.

  • Little did she know she'd have better success 14 years on as one half of Boobysocks...

  • It's such a typical composition for the time, but it's great! I admire Hanne Krogh an actor as well, just check out "Reisen til Julestjernen". Her smile is happiness itself.
