@Jayhawker30 Maybe the real criminals motives are not revealed until he admits to them upon Phoenix or someone else dying but then Sissel must reverse this, however in doing so that confession never happened but their spirit still remembers it so they must prove it once alive again. I suppose also Sissel in the courtroom could possess the Prosecutions evidence to see if they are hiding anything or even Missile could swap Phoenix's useless evidence with something hidden by the Prosecution.

I think the best bet would have it be a mystery that can only be solved with Phoenix both surviving AND dying, with Sissel and Phoenix investigating both possibilities.

@Jayhawker30 I know but it's the best I could come up with, unless Phoenix himself dies or something. Knowing Capcom if they took the idea seriously they would somehow find a way to incorperate it consideringt he complex plotlines of the AA series and GT. This is the same company that managed to put Phoenix Wright into one of the biggest fighting game series ever made and he never even fights in his own games remotely but is the most unique and potentially powerful characters in the game.

@Jayhawker30 Well only if the corpse has been dead for less than 24 hours, if not Sissel can't travel into the past, I guess it would be interesting having Phoenix perhaps stuck in court being blackmailed to make his client appear guilty, perhaps Maya/Pearl is either kidnapped or dead and Sissel has to travel the phone lines to try save them and then report back to Phoenix to let him know they are out of harms way so Phoenix doesn't have to hold back decisive evidence for their safety :)
