Yes, that's correct. If you connect more than one keyboard, it will act as more than 1 sound module because can run 10 HOSTs at the same time.
For example, one keyboard could be setup to be the master keyboard that would respond to any mode your currently in. A second keyboard... or more, could be connected to access specific HOSTs.

Yes, I have mine running with a KORG OASYS which is as close as your going to get to a KRONOS.

Can you change sounds with a foot switch or pads that might be
on the keyboard like some highend midi keyboard have.

So with this system all I would need is a nice midi keyboard like
say a M audio 88key and hook it to the Groove XR and be able
to play all the VST stuff and can your layer sounds and split the
keyboard up into sections 4, 8 etc for them to play from if I want.
This is all done just with the Groove XR?

Im buying a new Korg Kronos and maybe this will be able to
work with it too. Then I can buy it too to run VST software sounds.
