FYI If you want a great glidecam-ish steadicam body just remove the footboard of a cheap kick type scooter. This gives you a monopod pole that smoothly rotates around a steady grip on bearings. I think that's where they got the idea from.

sweeeeeet. where'd you buy that??? i'm thinking of making a basic steadicam and am looking for a decent gimbal. i'd probably try and convert a monopod with a decent mount on it, as i'm using an HVX which is not a cheap nor small camera. thanks in advance
