@oceaneyes122 You actually CAN help it. By saying you 'can't help it' it's just using a cop out. Just because you have an ED doesn't mean you're stuck that way. No, you don't choose to have one but you do choose to either do nothing about it or recover. I recovered after seven years even though the odds were against me.

@SabrinaBella36 Saying you're 'stuck' with an ED = you're making excuses to stay sick. Stop making excuses & living in your SICKNESS. By saying you're 'stuck' you guve yourself permussion to stay disordered. Get real. I've dealt with ED's long enough to see thru that thin self-denial & it will only benefit YOU when you realize that as well.

@SabrinaBella36 You know WHY she hasn't recovered? Because she doesn't want it enough - harsh, but true. You can want to get better, but if you do not try hard enough it's not going to happen. I'm in my 20's & my eating disorder started when I was 13 - so, shocker, I know what I'm talking about. I did NOT recover until I surrendered myself 120% to getting better. You have a CHOICE. You recover or you die. ANYONE can recover if they do what NEEDS to be done to do so.

Actually.... it kind of does. You can't just get rid of schizophrenia or bipolar, can you? And eating disorder is the Exact. Same. Way.

Not everyone can stop themselves. You realize its a mental disorder right??? I have a friend and her little sister is both anorexic AND bulimic in intervals. She's been so since she's been 9 and she's 15 now. She's been to hospitals, nutritionalist, psychologists, everything but she CAN'T get rid of it! And she WANTS to. Most people don't CHOOSE to have a flipping eating disorder! It just happens, slowly, involuntarily, progressively. These people aren't choosing to kill themselves.
