Here are my newly installed green KITT-style scanner lights on my white 2004 Chevy Impala LS. The light system is custom built by me and consists of 6 sets of 5 green LEDs controlled by an FPGA.

  • fpga ??? waste of money. you can use any microcontroller to make this effect.

  • @kimlanbu - Yep, you're absolutely right! You can easily do this with any $2 microcontroller. I only used the FPGA because I wanted to learn more about them.

  • whats wrong with the lights on a chevy...the old knight rider was a pontiac and thats basically the same thing...esp the trans am and the camaro at the time...and impalas are fast for a 4 door why do u think cops drive them
