One year in the making...
Synopsis: An unsolved murder of a young girl leads to mysterious disappearences. When the detective investigating disappears as well, SWAT is sent to sweep the desolate scene. Too bad guns are no match for the undead.

I had to produce this film last minute when the location for my original crime drama fell through. Luckily my friend (up and coming filmmaker Justin Beckenheimer) had a creepy as all hell house which enabled me to shoot this thriller in only 5 hours. 8 months of post-production later, and I was able to pull off quite the shocker with visual effects generated with After Effects, and captivating sound mixed with ProTools. Thanks to all (the few) that made this possible. ENJOY

P.S. I am and was always fully aware how this is just a rip off the Grudge, F.E.A.R., Darkness Falls and maybe some other stuff, but considering I shot this in 5 hours with virtually no budget, I don't care.

  • Iv been researching student horror films all week because im going to make one, and I must say this is the best one iv seen so far, very sweet. Nice job! Just one comment tho, the whole dead girl with long black hair is quite cliche now, but apart from that its great.

  • haha absolutely. I knew this wasn't really original at all, but my original idea was a crime-drama that fell through b/c of the location a week before the shoot, so I had to come up with another idea quick that I knew would be cool. So I just ripped off the grudge, darkness falls, and apparently some others I've never actually seen before. But for a total of 5 hours of shooting, $200 worth of airsoft crap, and a crew of myself, the actress and a camera-girl, I think it turned out well enough.

  • Wow! That was too cool! What software did you guys use? How did you manage to get all that SWAT stuff??

  • I used final cut for the editing, After effects for the visual effects, and protools for the sound design. The SWAT costume consists of Air-Soft vest, plastic helmet, gun belt and holsters bought online, on top of blue cover-alls. About $80 all together when you only buy one outfit. Thanks for your interest.

  • you scared the hell out of me!!!!!!!!!

  • *Deep Breath* I want to congragulate you on successfully scaring that crap out of me. And believe me when it comes to horror films thats really hard to do. I normally figure out what going to happen next, but I couldn't with this one. I've seen alot of horror films by students on YouTube and this is by far the scariest. Keep it up!

  • very good, i am impressed at how nervous u can make a viewer. me and my friend were going to make one and i was just looking for ideas, where did u get the music and sound effects from? but overall a very very good video

  • 3:58 Freakin' great dude! Great movie!

  • amazing film! i had an idea a little similar to this but inside a bank (was daydreaming bout it, not filming it).

i would work on the acting of the SWAT little more, but otherwise, 5 stars!!!

  • Shit this was good!! You better get the rights to do the F.E.A.R movie before Uwe Boll does....god he's horrible

  • Ok the begging was REALLY cool. The house really got me into the mood, and the eerie sound when the shadow sorta formed around the door and made it slam on its own was truly scary, and actually made me jump. 2:02 - 2:20 Alot of this stuff past that make me jump like 3:58 - 4:01 The eerie wind sound effect and the creaking is awesome. When the door slammed at 4:55 i would have been like SEE YA *bolt out of the door* A+ Best one i have seen . . on Youtube.

  • what program did you use to edit with? very good i liked the whole production the only thing i recon you could work on are the gun shots

  • This is a very good film, i like the editing, and the usage of light and sound to really set the tone.

  • Yeh definetly, lets not forget The Ring aswell lol.
