i have the same model but with intel pentium on it with windows 7 ultimate and it runs better than ever but i got a question what is the difference between nv52 and nv54 i asked because i bought this screen and its for a nv54 will it work on a nv52 model

It is a piece of garbage. Had it exactly 1 yr and 7 months and it one day decided not to power on. only 1 yr warranty and Best Buy doesn't care. had to pay $70 for them to tell me it was dead. never buy a gateway.

Windows Vista is the problem, once i upgraded to 7 it ran just fine.

I've had this laptop for 1 yr already...When I first got it out of the box it sucked cuz it froze so many times. Comes with Windows Vista but you can upgrade to Windows 7. It's slow at first but when you clear the unnecessary programs and defrag the system it runs smooth and quicker. The downfall is the battery power because it last a maximum of 1.5 hrs.

Is the left side of the laptop (on the side with the start button and the esc button) have a loose connection between the screen and the keyboard? because mine seems to be loose, can it move up and down? or is it broken?
