Rep. Becerra makes a reasonable argument for keeping Social Security "off the table" as we debate what to do about the looming debt ceiling crisis - since SS didn't add to deficit spending or debt levels, it should be relied on to solve the debt crisis. He also agrees that Social Security reform is needed, but only to keep it solvent going forward for future generations.
