Exactly as elrewotsit said, they're marxists, not communists.

At least to me, those are two different concepts.

Capitalism - the way we do it - is evil. That's their point. When gov't starts caring more about big business than its people then thats a problem. One we've faced the past eight or so, even more, years. Socialism to a degree - like Capitalism isn't so bad. I've lived in one while in the Army and I had to stay in one of their hospitals after almost getting killed. My care there - and they get it for free - was way better than any hospital I've been to here. Don't knock, what you don't know.

Well - if you don't know then you're the poser. They get there influences from a couple of bands then they added enough of their own sensibilities and sounds to make it far different than anybody at the time. And ever since many, many bands have followed doing it their way. But don't go listening for it on their prior albums because this is the one where they changed their sound and it was also their last. There is not enough room here to explain it but look and listen and you will see.

Sure they took huge parts of their sound and ideology from bands like The Nation Of Ulysses and Born Against...and I really hate the fact that all of these screamo douchebags are embracing them these days...but this album is seriously epic in scale. The production and songwriting were way ahead of their time. If you don't see it by watching a video for their single, get the full album. They really did raise the bar. Remember though, this was back in 1997.
