As a student in the M.A. Journalism Program at Hofstra University in New York, I was hired as a graduate assistant this semester to do something I would have done for free. My job for the next ten weeks will be to interview professional journalists and editors on-camera, and get their advice about how to succeed in the industry. My first interview is with Ken Davidoff, the national baseball writer for Newsday. Next up: more words of wisdom from journalism leaders in business, science/health, political, and entertainment reporting.
