In, my opinion, the most intimidating part for a new sewer is NOT operating the machine, it's actually threading the needle! In this video, I'm going to show you how to thread a sewing machine so that you can get on you way to sewing!

Even though your machine may not be the exact one I use, in general, most machines are threaded the same way, so use this as a basis to build upon.

Also, if you have it, your operating manual has any and everything you need to know about your machine, from how to thread the machine to how to make simple repairs!

Once you know how to thread the machine, completing simple projects with straight lines - like pillows, pencil skirts, belts and book bags - becomes a breeze!

You don't know this, but do you know that you did this video for me? I bought a sewing machine 8 years ago and took a class on how to use it. Last year I took it out to sew a hem. Well, what a disaster, I couldn't remember how to thread the bobbin. I started to cry and called the place where I bought it. The woman said "don't cry honey, just bring it in." Your video makes this task so much less intimidating and I can watch it over and over. I still say you're the chillest mom. Thk U so much!

The automatic threader is soooo easy. Once you get the hang of it, you will never have to squint to thread another needle!
