51 Point Elemental Shammy

This is just a quick video of the 51 point elemental Shaman talent "Thunderstorm" as it exists in the WotLK beta (Build 8820 at recording).

The talent gives you a new spell, that is an instant cast with a 45 second cooldown has the following text:

"You call down a bolt of lightning, energizing you and damaging nearby enemies within 10 yards. Restores 5% mana to you and deals 595-597 Nature damage to all nearby enemies, knocking them back 20 yards."

When I preformed the actual spell, I had "Force Crit" it with the talent "Elemental Mastery" and had both Totem of Wrath and Flametounge weapon up. I was also using my resto gear from BC.

Currently, there is no AoE cap on the spell, which makes it awesome. Also, the knockback is awesome, but is not seen in the video for reasons that you will see in the video.

This talent is, of course, in beta and subject to change.

How come all these vids I see are Draenei shamans =P, anyway.. can you tell me if shaman finally have heal over time spells?

Sorry it took me so long to post. Yes, shaman are getting a HoT, but it is a 51 point Resto talent. Riptide. I think it is pretty cool.

The spaceghost HoT racial is nice, but the reason we choose spacegoat is simple: it's the only Alliance race that allows shammies.

Thunderstorm (TS) has one major purpose - ROFL-moments in PvP. otherwise, it's use in PvP is pretty situational (and frequently next to useless).

In PvE, TS's main use is as a back-up mana-regenerator.

It's a great spell, but there are MUCH better 51st point talents for other classes/specs (i.e. frost mage, enh shammy).

While I see good "balance" reasons for allowing both factions to have all classes, I'm kinda sick of seeing Belf Pallies everywhere.

Alliance shaman... >.> I wish they kept horde and alliance with their own personal goodies. Ally with their paladins, and horde with shamans.. It would be some much better.

@cubbyhomes Draeneis have a HoT. Thats the reason why a lot of people choose Draenei Shamans :P.
