"Press" is a choreographic tragedy exploring the topic of the destructive force of the notion "the usual, the same as everyone else". Contemporary person is infinitely simple and familiar, but at the same time frighteningly complex and unusual. His movements are standard, his desires are cliché, his life is a cardboard box. Pierre Rigal placed his character in a closed space not only physically but in the moral sense as well. He is a victim of his "commonly accepted" notions about life, of his ideals which are "generally approved". As a spaceman he hovers in his gravity free confinement and is afraid to go into the open space of the real world.
