I don't think they are trying to do "opera" :) I think they just want to have fun :) and create their own special sort of art: Meruhen Kei :D

@yogourth This is a band whose lead singer styles her vocals in an operatic way. They really are not opera but an avant garde band.

I love how this group frequently uses minimalist instumentation. Kokusyoku Sumire is such a beautiful team of grand music and pleasant aesthetics. It makes sense that the band has a lot of popularity with young female fashion bugs, but I think this band could have the potential to also gain a very mature fandom such as the one jazz singer Dorlis has gained.

I don't think it's fair to compare with with Ali Project. They have a little bit of a similar loli fashion sense, and they both use classical influences, but those are where the connections end.

Anyhow, I love this song!! What is its name? Is it on any of their albums...?

if this is the best in rock japanese opera, I don't want to know how the worst is like.

Anyhow, I like them very much. They are originall, but I don't think they are getting the sense of the word "opera". At least, they are not getting it the way we do.
