  • 1) it is probably Hartru a great surface 2) the two guys had more class in the pinky than any of the slobs that play today

  • @vivascargill1 No these are the grasscourts in White City, Sydney, where the Australian was also played, in some years.

  • lol, this looks like amateur tennis

  • @TheKPRZ Search for "Laver Roche Australian Open". It took place one year earlier. Does that look like amateur tennis?

  • @TheKPRZ They played with wooden rackets. Nadal and Djokovic would look a lot like that too if they played with them.

Thnk you so much for this upload !!

  • maestros¡

  • @TheKPRZ Get a clue.

  • @1977a You're an idiot.

  • @vivascargill1 But the level they reach is quite embarassing if you compare it to nowadays.

  • Hahaha 5:27 first ever example of the banana shot from Laver. Fantastic! :D

  • @rondelego2 Because the players were really tiny!!

  • @vivascargill1 Mate this is lollipop tennis I could've been a pro back then!!

  • @TheKPRZ well look up the Rod laver interview he did with the Aussie open last week or so, like Laver said, back then it was just amateur tennis... Looking back you can see just how much the game has developed
