@ConiferTreez His dog can really bite a bull on comand. He has about 10 villanos in 2002.The body largely resembe a greyhound, and yes....the painting of H. Alken remember these dogs in inredible manner. In Las Encartacioe there is a museum.Over his door you can see an emblem from 1630 that showing two alanos. From S. Sebastian (60 miles away) was send in the 1661 the famous lecter of Preaston Eaton to mr. Wellington (London) for ask a couple of good BULLDOGS.

@ConiferTreez The Alanos is a dog much taller and heavyer than the villanos,(from 60 to 90 lbs).Do to his size the alanos can't work in mountain with the villanos, because the alanos haven't the stamina of the lighter villanos that remember a lighter ukc pitbull prevalentement brindle with ears cropped. The mayority of the dogs was in 2002,the ananos/villanos cross.Carranza's valley.I meet the villanos. Is owners was Manolito Gomez, well know breeder of these dogs.

@ConiferTreez I speak for direct memory. And also I have pics of the dogs I meet in person in 2002 from Castro Udialez to Trucio's valley,.At that time something related with the breed still exist.I speack with the maximum expert and breeder,(don Pedro Lana Laguno) from Trucios. In this little city still exist a "Plaza de toro".The villanos was a dog from 30 to 50 lbs.It work is watch and control the cow in mountain.

@MrSidemount69 You're speaking of a small number of dogs.
What of the Villanos of the Encarta & the back-country Alanos that still catch cattle & boar?
