Prep + Prime Skin Brightening Serum

MAC Says:

A serum formulated to instantly brighten, smooth, firm, and hydrate the skin while providing a plumper, more evenly toned finish to the complexion. Natural antioxidants help to strengthen the skin against UV-related damage, while M∙A∙C Charged Water ensures deep, long-lasting hydration.

I Say:

While i wouldn't say "instant brigtheness" you certinal might see some lightening of skin issues.

Once again it seems i'm finding little fault in a product. Wooohoooo. MAC come to the rescue with what is an excellent serum for those of you wanting a serum based product that has the option of brightening (lightening) skin discolourations. This happens because of the ingredient (vitamin C).

Not only is there enough C in this product to help fade pigmentation but the packaging keeps all the ingredients stable.

Filled with antioxidants, skin communicating ingredients and nothing HEAVY this makes this suitable for all skin types.

My only issue with this product is the fragrance. There is no need to add fragrance to products as fragrance is a major contributing factor to skin sensitive issues. Without the fragrance this would have scored more highly.

If you have VERY sensitive skin or nose this product may not be more you. But otherwise this is an excellent product for those of you that want to try and vitamin C product.

  • Just wondering, where are you from originally? You mention you pop into cardiff when you buy makeup so i'm guessing you're somewhere near wales (obviously I don't want to knw where you live) but you don't sound welsh. Your accent sounds more gloucester to me.

Don't feel like you have to answer, sorry I know I'm prying and it's none of my business-just curious I suppose!

  • Can you do a review on the Body Shop's Vitamin C line?! I've used all of it for years and absolutely love it. It was also featured on Dr. Oz recently. They have a 10 day treatment that has 15% Vitamin C that I use once every 2 months. My skincare secret.
