she still can't act, but she showed improvements in her acting in this movie. the emotions she expressed during the music numbers were really good.

Back to back, Beyonce does not have the same depth in her vocals that Etta James had. She doesnt have the same range, and no soul in her tone. This would be good on, say American Idol or something, but lacks the soul of the origional. There are some people who just cant be recreated.

Wow this was amazing! Etta James of course is the original and she did an incredible job with this song, but gotta admit Beyonce sang the heck out of it! All these people talking down on her are jealous or something. She may not have gone through all the things Ms. James went through but then again we don't know Beyonce's personal life. Props to Beyonce i look up to her she has not let me down yet. :D
