Verse 23 of Surat-ul-Ahzab means: "There are men among the
believers, who were honest in the oath they made to Allah, some have
died and some are still waiting to follow the same path, and they
never changed their oath."
Among these great ones is the best of the Companions and of the awliya'
(upright Muslims), our Master Abu Bakr as-Siddiq may Allah raise his
rank.
He is Abu Bakr as-Siddiq and his name is ^Abdullah, the son of Abu
Quhafah, the son of ^Amir al-Qurashiyy. It was said that his name
during the state of ignorance (Jahilyah) was ^Abdul-Ka^bah (means
the slave of Ka^bah), then the Prophet sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam
named him ^Abdullah. His lineage meets the lineage of the Prophet
sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam in Murrah, the son of Ka^b. His mother
is Umm al-Khayr Salma (and it was said Layla), the daughter of
Sakhr, the son of ^Amir, the son of ^Amru. She was the cousin of
Abu Quhafah.
He was born about three years after the Year of the Elephant, he was
described as being a white man. He was thin built with a swollen
forehead. Anas said: "Abu Bakr used to anoint with hena and
al-katam (a plant which people anoint with)."
He was among the leaders and scholars of Quraysh, clement, tolerant,
courageous, brave, patient, generous, and merciful in his disposition;
and was the most generous of the Companions.
He was the first among the men to embrace Islam at the age of 37,
and lived 26 years in Islam. He was given the allegiance as Khalifah
(Caliph) on the day Prophet Muhammad sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam
died in 11 AH, all the Companions agreed on his caliphate.
Ibnul-Jawziyy mentioned three sayings in his book "Sifat-usSafwah"
about naming Abu Bakr "^Atiq": One is what was related
that ^A'ishah said when she was asked why was Abu Bakr named
^Atiq, she said: Once the Messenger of Allah sallallahu ^alayhi wa
sallam looked at him and said: "This is the one whom Allah would
spare from Hellfire." The second is what Musa Ibn Talhah said that
his mother named him with that name. The third is what al-Layth Ibn
Sa^d said that he was named with it because of the beauty of his face.

  • @jalilabd InchAllah

  • How could one claim that Allah willed that Aliy be Khalifah first, when it really was Abu Bakr, Omar, Othman then Aliy fourth!! that's the way Allah willed for it to be. Some need to stop believing all the lies about the sahabah.

  • We only quote most qualified scholars, namely the four great schools.

  • We know these hadiths, nothing is new, but some impostors try to twist their meanings.

Sayiduna Omar was concerned about the Prophet, and he did not prevent him from writing a will as some claim! Could anyone prevent wahiy?? of course not.

Abu Bakr was implementing the Prophet's will which is not to give inheritance to any of Ahlul-bayt (Alayhimus-Salam) and Imams agree with him.

Allah praised Abu Bakr in al-Qu'ran, how could one try to talk about him??

  • By Allah, my first son's name will be Abibakrinisiddique and the second one will be named Umarulfarooq. Ameen insyallah.

  • Enough misquoting Verses and Ahadith!

Our Master Abu Bakr is the only one mentioned in al-Qur'an as the "Sahib" companion of the Prophet. Our Prophet loved him, loved Sayiduna Omar, Uthman and Aliy and Hassan and Hussein.

Our Master Aliy gave his daugher to Sayiduna Omar why? Because he loved him for the sake of Allah.

Sayiduna al-Hussein named his son Abu Bakr, why? Becase he loved him.

Our Master Aliy named his kids: Abu Bakr, Omar and Othman, why? He loved them all!

    We LOVE them all.

  • Because all khulafa are and ahlul-bayt are among those who truly love Allah and His Messenger.

Prophet Muhammad praised our Master Abu Bakr in many hadiths. Imam al-Hussein himself had a son Named Abu Bakr, that's for the vast love al-Hussein had for Master Abu Bakr.

  • that companion mentioned in the meaning of that verse is our master Abu Bakr the most beloved man to the Prophet.

  • 9:40 If ye help not (your leader), for Allah did indeed help him, when the Unbelievers drove him out: he had no more than one companion; they two were in the cave, and he said to his companion, "Have no fear, for Allah is with us": then Allah sent down His peace upon him, and strengthened him with forces which ye saw not, and humbled to the depths the word of the Unbelievers.... there is written tht Abu Bakr was fearing and he didn't help Nabi(saw) read wht 9:38 says!!!!

  • He's the only one with him going in Hijrah
