true music never dies. Steve Winwood was awesome. I love many of his songs, even after all these years they are still as good as they were in day 1!

This is the one I'll sing after I've been 50. Back in the high life will I be, oh, dear. Still we're the best, ni mean all of us! We never close doors behind! Here comes the Valley Rd!

Yes, this is a very inspiring song. I could (and have) listened to it for days. I think the lyrics express a common feeling in people's life experiences: we are doing well at something, or have the potential to do well, then life's accidents, misfortunes and bad luck strikes us down.
Of course, we need a game plan and execute it to get back on top, but we basically we need the inspiration to "get back in the high life again". The song also says slow down and enjoy life along the way as well!

A hippie a yuppie NOT FUCKIN POPULAR are you morons serious, in the 80's around the age of 40 he hit his peak and was at his best, everywhere he went around the world he conquered and still to this day has the same golden voice and play's to big audiences his talent is unquestionable some of the many reasons he is nominated for two grammy's and while awards are not the be all and end all it is just another feather in the cap to one very remarkable and talented individual, God Bless Sir Steve.

I thought for the longest time this was Phill Collins/Genesis, until I found my dad's Steve Winwood record and played it.
