@sirtophamhatt How can you say no one can? Anyone can, he wasn't the greatest nor was he a crazy technical drummer. What you should say is No one can touch what he has done with the beatles. The band would not have been the same without his soild heartbeat and his great vocals. He was just as important as the other 3.

He always plays FOR the song. U may enjoy my video "Ringo" which celebrates his kind of playing.

Nobody can touch the way Ringo smacks a beat, EVER. It's his own thing! The guy's not a soloist, but then he's not playing jazz fusion, or speed metal, is he? He's solid in a way that no other drummer ever is. And then there's his fills, but I don't even need to get into that, personally I think he's perfect.

Listverse:
"Raunchy was never released by the Beatles but it was George Harrison’s audition piece which got him into the Beatles and performed at Paul’s prompting to John on top of a Liverpool bus. According to Paul, George’s guitar work was “perfect”. George was three years younger than John; you can imagine John’s attitude (being nearly 18) to a 14 year old wanting to join the band. George must have been pretty good!"
