@doohdoohhead They've softened over the years (more pop now than rock), but I love it all :-)

@doohdoohhead i totally agree about matt slocum!! this was one of my first albums ever! i'm kind of amazed that there's even a version of this on youtube! yay!

yes older stuff is really nice

They probably modify vocals on cd thats why she seems flat live maybe......

Wow so deep about the connection between god and the great divide we cant see but we are so sure its there.

@jteshuwah ?? Rest assured I wasn't challenging your fanship, but merely offered another opinion agreeing with so many affirming posts about this 11 song concert that Sixpence actually gave a very good account of themselves. Granted, Leigh struggled a bit at first, mostly in the first 2-3 songs due to problems with her earpiece...couldn't hear herself and so she was a bit off key. Otherwise, Leigh seemed like her usual, adorable, perky, quirky, affable, luvable & incredibly talented self.

@Snookynibbles um... excuse me, sir/madam, i've been a hardcore Sixpence/Leigh Nash fan for YEARS, probably as long as they've been out and by no means meant to offend anyone! my family is very musical and i grew up watching performers wrestle on stage, so i probably know what's going on up there better than you! why is it any time anybody says a band gives less than its best performance on any given day, somebody's going to accuse you of not being a devoted fan if you dare point that out?
-
@jteshuwah ...she's pregnant, and suffering with a misbehaving earpiece & some rowdies in the crowd. She did just fine, awesome actually! This series that Violettero uploaded is epic for hardcore SPNtR fans...like me.

Nash is really struggling at this show! gotta kinda feel bad for her! she's really pushing it, but it just ain't flowin'! i guess even angels have bad days!
-
@MixPix Yes, it' a "different" song... BUT much deeper and harder!
Its just not as good without the bassline!
I havent heard their last album, but I've always thought that "This Beautiful Mess" was their best album by far (though all have been truly good) Matt Slocum is one of the most underrated composer/arrangers in pop/rock.

This version lets you focus on the lyrics more, which I like!!
