This is the 4th of July half pound of flash powder salute we made. It blew a hole 1 foot deep and 2 feet wide and set off car alarms hundreds of yards away.

  • @SIGN666 flash powder dosen't need to have containment at all to be loud. It WILL self-contain just being in a pile by itself. The ammount needed will varry depending on what mesh your materials are. so be careful!

  • dear lord!!

  • if you really want to use some powerful stuff.. then try to detonate some secondary explosive (ANFO, ANNM, RDX) with flashpowder.. or make some primary to do the job (:

  • If you click the link in the "more info" section of this video you can take a look at what it looked like. I know for sure it was an 8 1/2" long cardboard tube with 1/4" thick walls and I believe it was 2" wide inner diameter.

  • I'm glad to see that I'm not alone. No matter what video I upload, there always seems to be people on this site that talk out their ass about shit they have no idea or experience in.

  • What a waste of mortars. Just buy a can of black powder from a hunting shop.

  • should have shown the crater but still could tell it was a phat blast

  • We don't make "bombs" in the art of pyrotechnics. Get the fuck out.

  • clearly huge, ridiculous nice vid

  • The statement "the thicker the tube, the louder the report" depends on a lot of factors, such as the type of powder, amount, and how thick the tube can actually be. This works well with powders that do not create gas expansion quite as fast and violent as others (black powder, smokeless powder, sparkler powder...)

Use a large enough tube on something like flash powder, it will either muffle the explosion, or just spew flames right out the fuse hole. I've had both happen.
