I'm a good friend of Jazz and Jay-z and was in our friend Gordon Pickett's recording studio/House when most of all the early demos were done. Jay-z did not lie about selling drugs, almost everybody the hood sold drugs when they felt they needed to.

its amazing to hear a rappers very first time rapping and then compare it to now after they become famous, (and hopefully a lot better)

I'm more of a mid 90s guy myself but hip hop was so fun back in the 80s.

It's crazy how much further Jay peers were like LL, Rakim, Kane, etc even tho he was they age. They were so much further that Jay got grouped with Nas and BIG. Talk about the greatest turn around in history.

This is pretty amazing, good work on bringing this to the public, but this pic is from 1988 and the song is from 85/86.
