Do you think Obama is trying to send a message by choosing Rick Warren to give the blessing at inauguration? Are pro-choice and gay rights activists justified in their opposition to Warren giving the invocation? Should a religious leader's social views matter when it comes to an event like inauguration?

  • While Obama referenced scripture in his speech, he also spoke of the diversity of both faith and nonfaith in America. Warren, on the other hand, delivered a speech that did little more than help reiterate the tiresome claim of so many right wing christians that this is a "christian nation"

  • pungk¤ the last black dude is gay??? never seen black gay... kill that nigger

  • All of you God loving people out there- I support you in being antigay because you feel Gods wants you to be. I also support islamics cutting off the hands of your children becausing they are following the dictates of their God. They are not bad people. If they live in the US and one of them blinds your little boy for looking at his little girl, you should honor this action as a religious act for God. Anything that a person or group does for religious reasons is good.Good people kill for God 911

  • So far, he has made some good picks, such as his picks for the NSA and the DOD and even Clinton is a hawk. Besides, you can't judge a person by only one thing. Let him take office and actually do something and then judge him.

  • "...because I'm a Christian and I stand for his beliefs..."

Don't tar all Christians with that brush.

I love when people say they believe things because of their religion. It really should be the other way around.

  • If he had chosen Jeremiah Wright, that would have been scary. I don't know Warren, but I think he is probably more middle of the road.

  • They have been cherry picked right? As an European these people honestly scare me. Especially the "everybody has their beliefs ladida".

  • I think that the coolest guy in the video is at 1:40

  • Then he should reach out and also bring David Duke and some klansmen, Reverend Wright, oh, and why not Ahmadinejad, a couple of guys from Hizballah, and Osama bin Laden. Shouldn't we bring everyone to the table? Reach out to everyone?
