  • My brothers BMW got hit by a train, and if you looked on the inside, you couldn't even tell anything was wrong with it. It's amazing how safe a BMW is.

  • This is NOT Euro Ncap, as it says at the beginning of the video, it is the U.S's Version called Insurance Institue For Highway Safety, Euro Ncap, as the name says, is for EUROPE and for LEFT hand vehicles only, and goes in MPH NOT KPH and has a different marking scheme!

  • A very safe and quite good looking and luxurious and fuel efficient car. Well done BMW.

  • @whattheheck1000 I hate to agree with you. If ALL you care about is yourself, then you would certainly prefer being in this car rather than many others. BUT, that really depends on what your hitting... Against a tree, I'll take a softer-fronted car, against another car... give me a tank and we'll use the other guy as a crumple zone!

  • @looncraz i'd rather be in this car!!!

  • wow, all the bags went off. fixing just that is gonna cost u if u had leather...

maybe u shouldve bought a volvo, they even stop themselves in the ncap testing lol, now they have to go 62 mph in order to impact at 40

  • salesperson?

  • No prob :-)

  • I apologize. Point taken.

  • No, you misunderstand.

If you look at the front structure of these vehicles you will realize that the car is designed to give very little in a crash. Volvo proved that this is the wrong way to go about it.

You have to become progressively more rigid so that the vehicle stops more gently, and that the impacted object ( vehicle/human ) is dealt a less severe load.

A car hit by this behemoth will be in big trouble. Indeed, hitting a tree in this car would also not be as survivable as a Volvo.
