  • this is murder. i'm gonna avenge the prawns

  • Hi keerawnchowli, Thanks.

Life is a sacrifice, think of all cows, chickens, sheeps, goates, fishes and what have you being killed every day , young men being killed in wars; so that we can live in peace, harmony and prosper. We are born alone with nothing and we will leave this world alone with nothing. We are all searching, our purpose and some have found inner peace in the truth.

  • these tiger prawns are neither freshwater, nor saltwater; they're brackish.

  • Read the book by Taras Grescoe titled Bottomfeeder and you would never eat a farmed prawn again. The author states that farmed prawns is the most disgusting of all industrial farmed products worse than salmon, and battery chichen. Then the question of chemicals and the over-use.

America imports $3.9 billion of farmed prawns a year and only tests just over 1 per cent but it still rejected 2817 shipments of seafood in 2005.Leakage of antibiotics , pesticides into delicate shallows, catastrophic

  • You are absolutely correct Mr. fishkiller41. The natural elements cannot be prevented from the natural process taking place when harvesting. Million Thanks for your interest and comments. Best Regards.

  • I guess it gets turbid from the harvest nets, stirring-up silt.Plus the natural turbidity of "brackish" water.

  • Water source is from the clean sea-water (brackish water) fed from the coastal river surrounding our Tiger Prawn Farm. Being located just less than a kilometer from the sea , clear and clean water source is readily available at all times. Quality of water is essential to successful tiger prawn farming.

  • Are those Prawn being grown in "gray-water", Sewage?

It sure looks like it. I guess it's the same water that Talapia is grown in. Human Feces water..Yukk... They do taste good, shame they can't be grown in POTABLE water.
