I saw J. Geils in concert (a small concert) at the University of Toledo and never let go. Now am in Atlanta and have 5 teens who never heard of them. To me, they were the greatest of the great and I have yet to hear anything like them. Please, please J. Geils -- tour some more and closer to me because I'd move heaven and earth to go. In fact, just tour some more, and I will find a way to get there - wherever..... There's no boogie'n like boogie'n to you guys. God, I miss ya!

I tried getting that tone till my face turned blue. I gave up 20 years ago. There are very few people who can even come close to that. One of my favorite all time musicians.

@roquero42 Man, saw him in concert back in 1968 with Humble Pie as their opener...awesome show. Magic Dick...what a wild man....

This was the song of my youth - I could do a fairly good "air harmonica" along with the song and it was often requested at some of the most beer fueled parties! All us gals from Boston would rock to OLD J. Geils. Still do!!!!!!!!!!!!
