One major side effect of the low androgen levels seen in both males and females with Kallmann syndrome or HH is the increased risk of osteopororsis. Regular bone density scans (DEXA) scans and Vitamin D supplements can help reduce the risk

  • There are are number of different ways we can get our testosterone replacement. If one does not work for us we can always try another method.

    Nebido injection every 3 months

    Daily gel application

    Implants every 6 months

    Sustanon 250 - either every 2 or 4 weeks

    Daily patch application

For most of us Nebido works well.

Were you using the 5mg Testogel ?, most people I speak to are happy on that.

Another suggestion would be to ask for the testosterone pellet implants every 6 months.

  • The increased risk of osteoporosis covers everybody who has lower than normal testosterone or oestrogen levels for any length of time, regardless if they have Klinefelter or Kallmann syndrome.

  • Thank goodness for the doctors we have who can keep track of all of this with good blood workups and all the rest so they can be on top of these things for their patients Asian or not. We keep track of everything to do with Mieleigh because she is asian and she is so small for her age. Something to learn everyday but best advice is Dr. Patient care always!

  • Im thinking if an Asian is raised here in The USA it changes drastically for the BETTER. Would you think that I am right? Osteoporosis is more risky for Asians in Asian countries. I wish I could recall the page I was reading about it but it was days ago when I was looking up something to do with Asian children. Sorry about that!
