'Pistol' Pete Maravich... one of the best ever.
-
Connie Hawkins fantastic ball player..

Pistol Pete's problem was that he was about 25 years ahead of his time. His flashy, "showboating" brand of basketball was completely unknown and unheard of. His passes tended to bounce off the heads of his teammates as they had never seen anything like that before. If he played the same style today he would be the most exciting and beloved player in the league. He should have just forgotten about passing and scored 50 a game, which he could have done if the 3 pt had existed in his time.

Because he was surrounded by garbage during the majority of his career.

yeah although pistol was an awesome showman he didnt do all that much winning wise in the NBA

hey do yuo have the hole game or the first or second half.... if you do you should defenatly put it on 8)

The fake behind the back pass is different than the one against Jerry West (Pete actually passes it to someone cutting on the right) but just as effective. Thanks 1avardac-you've done it again.
