Here viewers can find videos that Larry has done with James White ("Sola Scriptura", "Evidence that Jesus is God", "New Age Bible Versions", for instance) or with Rob Zins (see the 16 hour series on "Roman Catholicism," "Debate with a Monsignor," "The Idolatry of Mary Worship," etc.). This particular debate by James White & Rob Zins is very useful in equipping Christians on how to answer the typical Romanist arguments used to support the heretical doctrine of a "pope." The two Roman Catholic apologists (Scott Butler & Robert Sungenis) use everything they can muster to try to establish that Christians are to follow the "Pope in Rome" by highly questionable hermeneutics concerning Matthew 16 & a few other verses. The differences between the two debate teams in this theological war could not be greater. One can then understand why the great Reformer Martin Luther in church history had said, "Previously I said the Pope was the Vicar of Christ. I recant. Now I say the Pope is the adversary of Christ and the apostle of the Devil". Virtually all of the historic confessions of faith of the major Protestant denominations hold that the Pope is the very Anti-Christ mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12.

@ethanvil The reason people can't "get it through their heads" that Peter was the first pope is for several reasons: 1. Rome misapplies Matthew 16:18 to mean a Romanist Pope the same way Mormons misapply Psalm 82:6 to mean people will become gods of their own planets. Bad Biblical hermeneutics! 2. @myladyschild, Linus was the first bishop of Rome. Paul and Peter both founded the Church of Rome. Peter held the office of the Apostelship. Linus held the office of the Episcopate. Peter was not even the first bishop of Rome according to the earliest sources. There is the office of the Episcopate in the early Church, but no office of papacy.

@ethanvil , Saint Peter was not the first pope. Peter and Paul both founded the Church of Rome. Linus was the first bishop of Rome, and he was never referred to as a pope. Historically, the title of pope was used of any bishop.

You assume that a "pope" made the Bible at a "council" forgetting that the Word of God was already in existence during the early church (see our video: "EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH HISTORY #3: EARLY CHRISTIANS QUOTED SCRIPTURE WITHOUT A ROMANIST OR KJV BIBLE" on YOUTUBE & our website on church history: HISTORYCART COM).
