  • Makes u think doesn't it, y don't they restore more steam loco's? Everyone loves them Everytime people here about one due to come into their local station it is packed with people with cameras. I've recently seen a BR 7 No.70013 Oliver Cromwell' & 34067 Tangmere come through Plymouth doing the Royal Duchey. Tornado is due to come down 11th July 2009, cant wait to see it !!

  • Yes. We were on The Royal Duchy, pity about Nunney. Our Video for 70013 +34067 already on Youtube. Also booked for 11th July, very much looking forward to that!

  • Sorry In the U.S we call them cars a lot

  • :-)

  • Are British Passenger cars light or is the Tornado just a fast and powerful engine

  • If by 'cars' you mean what we call coaches(!), then the train was mainly BR Mk1 coaches which weight in at 37 tons. Total train weight was 461 tons tare, 500 tons gross (13 Coaches).

  • The Brits and the Americans have various differences, but our mutual fascination with steam does not seem to be one of them. We have a handful of active steam engines here in the states, but it would be interesting to see the Americans undertake the construction of an entirely new one from the rails up.

  • the station lines a bit to close..

here in Australia there at least a meter away :D

  • @gantondale The LNER used apple green as one of there main line express liveries for a very long time it might have been in use before the grouping

  • @DanielVolker in that video it's already apple green until they decide to do another paint job

  • wonderful footage

  • I think the best thing that could happen if that they could restore the mallard so it can be in steam and could do things like this. Im shure they can since they have enough money and if they can build an entire A1 class from sctrach then i think they could restore an engine that already exsists. Great video by the way!!!! :)

  • i think one day they should organise a day on the east coast were all passenger trains are steam hauled, now that would be a day to reme, ber

  • this may sound horrible but i was glad nunney broke down at Newton Abbott, because last time Tagmere came down i missed it, and i've seen nunney castle a few times before. Bit annoyed they have cancelled the King class that was supposed to be coming down 2nd may King Edward 1
