  • Best interview yet, and I've watched them all. Nice not having to hear a female reporter gushing, giggling, and asking the same old worn out questions. Thanks for posting.

  • Nice interview glad you talked about the music and sports and didn't ask him things to make him uncomforatble. Very respectful.

  • Great interview. Love the sports talk (especially since I'm from KC haha) It really was like being a fly on the wall during a conversation instead of a stiff interview with a list of questions.

  • I'm with ya, how many ways can you ask the same question. This one looks well planned and fairly spontaneous per answer. Ty BTW for the post "matkrbe" I jus LUV David Cook

  • Awesome interview!! Great questions! Def better than "How has your life changed since Idol?"

  • such a sweetheart!

  • Great interview.

I love seeing him so laid back and in a normal conversation.

  • nice interview with different twists and turns. thanks for posting

  • Thanks Mat! The sports stuff was fun, but I loved that he's got 60-70 riffs in his head about the next album already! As always, David's frank, goodnatured and engaging honesty charms my socks off. You're a great interviewer.

  • Thanks for this interview. It seemed more like us listening in on a conversation between the two guys rather than a formal interview process. I agree about the comment about David's integrity being on display here. It would be easy for him to do the "cool musician" thing and try to disassociate himself with Idol as soon as possible. Instead, he remains grateful for the opportunity it afforded him. In time, his success may do more to legitimize Idol than THEY realize.

  • what a GREAT interview....none of those stereotypical questions. Nice to see someone with half a brain
