America is an overwhelmingly propagandized nation. Noam Chomsky articulates it well, in a relatively fee society such as ours where the government is more constrained in its use of outright violence to get its way, propaganda becomes the most important method of control. Hence the corporate ownership of media, and the way that they leap immediately upon anyone who utters anything like the truth, and attempts to ridicule and dismiss them.
