  • This band is great. But I am sure that their name had record companies looking the other way. To bad, this is great music.

If you can't stop smile as you go under track 4 Hard Meat second album Through a Window. Available as part of a two on one Hard Meat CD on Progressive Line. Ebay usually have it for sale. Both albums are excellent with many tracks of that quality.

  • WHAT A SMALL WORLD! . . . I bought this LP in a second-hand record shop in Roundhay Road, Leeds (England), way back in 1976. I was about 19 years old at the time and although I had never heard of Hard Meat, it grew to be one of my all time favourite records. I lost the LP when I moved to Hull in East Yorkshire in about 1986 - and never would have guessed that this rather obscure LP would be known to other music fans out there. Thanks for uploading the track, brings back many happy memories

  • Great album - still have it! Class act.

  • Hard Meat did a song "Smile as You Go Under" on a Warner Brothers Loss Leader album circa 1972. I can't find it anywhere. Can someone help?

  • FINALLY! I've been waiting for Hard Meat to make an appearance on You Tube. Discovered them 4 years ago on an 8 Track i got from ebay. Beem looking for any info on them, but have found none. Thanks much for putting this up!

  • so nice to come across lost gems...I actually booked these guys in 1970..i ran a weekly gig for 3 yrs in my home town( Blackpool UK) at the time. this was one of the many great bands to have played. Thanks man..wearing a nice knowing grin right now!
