You are wrong in one aspect: ANAKIN WAS THE CHOSEN ONE. Anakin killed the Emperor and sacrificed himself, destroying the strongest powers of the Sith. He brought balance back to the force. Luke was just a tool that helped Vader remember who he was.

@princessgal7867 I totally agree..their was something Unique & Special about the...but with this franchise being a targeted mostly male base I can see why ppl hate their great romance..its something most of them don't get and only wanted violent sword-fighting scenes....

Such a wonderful love story with such a tragic end. I loved them together and this may seem a bit weird but I always imagine differet endings in my head, ones where Anakin doesnt turn to the Dark side of the Force (even if it was initially to save Padme) and Padme doesnt die in childbirth or of a broken heart (whichver). Am I the only one who does this?

Oh and they are NOT the worst on screen couple ever, in My opinion they are the best!

A child - a tool? Curious way of naming thing, indeed. But yes, there is a point in what you say: parental LOVE, the love itself was a "tool" as you call it, to bring him his humanity. When his mother died he wanted to be "better than human", but in the end being human was exactly what was necessary.

@DiscoUnicorn Anakin is the chosen one at his time and Luke is the chosen one at his time. Anakin brought power to the dark side due to wrong hate and vengeance but he destroyed it with his own hands too.so the point is without Anaki, there wont be rise to the dark side in the first place, but he later made the sacrifice for his mistake.

Anakin trained Star killer which was of huge importance to the rebellion.

Anakin sacrificed himself to bring down the Emperor.

Meanwhile Luke was just there, crying on the floor.
