@TheTvstuff as for paying that price for succes, did they have a choice? I think that both Janet and Michael did part their ways from Joseph when they were ready, both being considered rebels at that moment...

she is amazing
I think that Joseph was a victim himself: any affection was tabu for him ever since he was a child. he was raised the same way: through discipline. that's how most of the military parrents are raising their kids. can't doubt their love, though... We all know that being over-sensitive makes you very vulnerable; maybe Joseph knew it too.... lets not forget that before fame, teh Jackson family was a large family living in the getto, with 1 income.

@andysort I get what you're saying and you might be right but u cannot suppress being sensitive or oversensitive. Some people aren't but some people are like that and forcing them not to be is a HUGE mistake in my opinion. It won't happen and it shouldn't happen. It's perfect, normal human nature. Yes discipline has to exist for success but not to be exaggerated with.Certainly not to the extent that Joseph did, fucking up his kids inside. If that's the price to pay for huge success than fuck it!

@TheTvstuff totally agree; i never said that this was the right way, nor i defend Joseph, but back in the 60's the society was way different; you can't judge him by today's standards. Lets not forget that back then parents used to apply physical punishments to their children + a black young person from Indiana had not too many chances (Jos proved us wrong). As long as his own children forgive him, we have no right to judge. However, when the damage is done, forgiveness is the cure..
