Recently Diagnosed ADHD Child

Eric's inability to focus and frustration at school led him to initially believe he was "dumb". He had trouble sitting still, and at school he would often act out and be disruptive in class. Now that he's been diagnosed with ADHD and has begun an ADHD treatment, he has gained control over his symptoms. The medication hasn't prevented Eric from having fun and doing the activities he enjoys doing, instead, he's able to focus and calm down when necessary. Eric and his mother are both excited and relieved to have a real advantage as they continue to manage ADHD symptoms.
