  • @good2goskee IDN what state you are in but as officers where I am at we are required to qualify every year a set course up to 25 yards. We have to shoot kneeling, prone, standing, transition to off hand, shoot single hand, supported, with flashlight all while doing drills where we have to reload both day and night.

  • @Lord666Belial I did not know that- thanks. However, looking at the police train at my range, I see them shooting at 5-15 feet. Like I said 15feet would be the longest distance for me. Having a 30 rd uzi would be great, but I still think 6 in a .357 5" barrelled S&W will do. Even my police friend says if you need more, your in big big big trouble.

  • @good2goskee Did you know in more than 80% of shootings the individuals are no farther than 3 feet from each other. Less than 5 shots are fired, and nobody is injured?

  • @Lord666Belial Well looking at my apartement.... most shots would be no more than 15 feet away.....6x .357 or 6x .38p+ will do. But, if I am on a farm or on a standard lot where there are more distance variables, I might want a high cap or a shot gun.

  • Totally agree with this guy.

.38 special revolver or a .357 is the way to go for home D. Accurate and as reliable as it gets

.38p+ JHP will makes a VERY bad day for someone.

As per my experienced police friend, "If you need more than 6 shots for home D, than you are you are screwed because you are likely dealing with a gang".

He said most B&E punks are so cowardous they are off like rabbits after hearing one shot. A crazed junky is a diferent story & six .38s will deal with 1 or 2 of them

  • conceal carry? Glock 26/xd/mp 9mm/40, Need something Smaller? Tough.

If you can Open Carry,Sig 226, 1911, Hi Power, CZ75 or a Glock 17/19/22 whatever

Everything is is just jacking around
