Mark your calendars for Friday, October 14th 2011, because it's time to rock and roll hep cats! John Mueller and his famous "Buddy Holly: Winter Dance Party Tour" is coming to Rockford as part of the Rockford Public Library Foundation's '50s Dance Party Fundraiser. The event will be held at Cliffbreakers Riverside Resort and the evening includes a dinner, 90-minute live concert and lots of dancing.

John Mueller and his band flawlessly recreate Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper (played by Jay Richardson, the Big Bopper's son), Ritchie Valens (played by Ray Anthony) and the music that changed the world. Buddy recorded over 100 songs during his short career in the 1950's including hits like "Peggy Sue," "Not Fade Away," "Oh Boy," and "Rave On." He influenced virtually every aspect of the musical entertainment industry from rock and roll to country to rock-a-billy.
