  • cool. where do i get those things? I need stuff for my patch of urban dirt- stuff that doesn't require effort and that neighborhood kids won't vandalize.

  • I think if you can find them at the grocery store for eating you can just plant those. Make sure you put them in a place you want them forever. I've got mine growing in a big pot.

  • Great video and great looking sunchokes. "Take care of the earth and take care of ourselves!" Words to live by.

  • Hi, I have been trying to get sun choke seed or root for about ten years. Could you please mail me some seeds I will pay my address is 1800 5th st St. Catharines ON Canada L2R 6P9

  • I love this too. They grow in my bavarian garden better than potatos

  • thank you for posting this.

i have to disagree that these plants are weeds. as people define what weeds really mean...i just disagree with you that these are weeds. these have a purpose and are very healthful. weeds would have no purpose.

  • Those things grow all over here. I think. Guess I'll have to dig one up and eat it., see if it kills me. Are there any copycat plants we need to worry about? For my fellow youtubers, in most cases you can check wild plants for toxic compounds by rubbing a little bit on a sensitive part of your skin. Like the crook of your elbow, wait 30 min, if no reaction develops, rub some on the corner of your lip, wait 30 min, then try eating a small piece. No reaction or upset tummy? Might be safe. Might.

  • hope that doesn't stuff that tree up that you're digging around. (ie could you be damaging it's surface feeding roots by cultivating around it like that?)

  • Great video!
