A fully clothed (albeit in some very sexy Tom Ford pajamas and La Perla bra) Kim Kardashian appears on the February cover of Glamour magazine, where she chats with CBS News anchor Katie Couric about a less covered-up shoot she did for Playboy a couple of years back.

"It was an independence thing for me. I was always by the book, such the straight arrow when it came to pleasing my parents and being a good daughter," Kardashian tells Couric (who refrains from asking any gotcha questions) about her decision to pose for Playboy. "I felt like this was one decision that only I could make. And I think it looks great. I'll have those pictures forever."

Most of Kardashian's recent life will be documented forever, what with her clan launching a new reality show what seems like every few months.

"If there's something that we're going through, it's going to get out anyway. It'll be on the cover of a tabloid, and it'll be twisted the completely wrong way. So why not tell our story?" Kardashian told Couric about cameras constantly filming her and her family.

She admits that the one area where the constant camera intervention does interfere is in her dating life, which is why she is taking a hiatus from hooking up.

"It's easier to just be single and not have a relationship. How do you get to know someone on a reality show? Some people think that they can handle it, and then they really can't," Kardashian says.

That's why this Kardashian sister isn't exactly where she expected to be at age 30.

"If you had asked me five years ago what I would be doing at 30, I would have said, 'Married with a kid or two.' Not in a million years did I dream that I would be doing all the things that I'm doing," she admits. But she isn't about to turn down any of the opportunities that keep coming her way. Kardashian is no dummy and the girl knows she needs to strike while the iron is hot.

"I'd be foolish not to take some of these opportunities that are coming my way. We all know this can go away at any moment," Kardashian says.
